Description

Stonecroft Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed, squared gritstone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a two-room plan with a partial outshut and stands two storeys high, with two windows on the first floor. The large quoins are a notable feature. The doorway is located to the left of centre and has quoin reveals and a plain lintel. There is a three-light square-faced mullion window on each side of the door, and two similar windows on the first floor. All windows have a wider central light and are slightly displaced to the left. Each gable is topped with a shouldered ashlar stack.
