Description

This is a row of four houses on Bradway Road, Sheffield. The right-hand section of the row dates to 1769, while the left-hand section was built in the late 18th century. The houses were restored in the late 20th century. They are constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and have stone slate roofs, featuring two gable and two ridge stacks, all dating from the 20th century. The windows are 20th-century casements with simulated glazing bars, in 2 and 3-light arrangements, each with a stone lintel. The houses are two storeys high with a ten-window range. The right-hand section is slightly taller and has a steeper roof pitch. A datestone above an off-centre door bears the inscription "N L 1769," likely a reset feature. To the left of this door is a blocked doorway with a stone lintel and jambs. Further to the left are three windows, and to the right are two windows. The left-hand range features a door flanked by single windows to the left, and to the right, two windows followed by two doors. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
