Description
Olive Cottages is a pair of cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed, squared gritstone and feature a horizontally punched design, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of two bays, with entrances located at the rear. Each floor has two windows with projecting sills, and the lintels are shaped to resemble voussoirs and a keystone. The windows have casements that are now boarded over. A band runs along the first floor, and the gables are adorned with moulded kneelers, square-cut gable copings, and end stacks positioned halfway up each gable. At the rear, there are two central doorways and one window on each side for both floors, with end stacks at the eaves. The cottages are included in the listing primarily for their group value.
