Description
The former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, now used as engineering works, was built in 1826. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings, some of which are painted, and features a slate roof with coped gables. The building is single storey and has four bays. The entrance is an off-centre close boarded double door with a wooden surround, which is flanked on the left by a round-arched glazing bar sash window and on the right by two similar windows. Above the door, there is a largely illegible inscribed tablet. The gable ends are blank. At the rear, there is a doorway and two altered round-headed windows.
