Description
This is a cruck framed barn, now used as a patternmakers' workshop, dating from around 1600, with 19th century alterations and late 20th century additions. The structure is built of random squared stone and has a corrugated iron roof. It is a single-storey, single bay building. The concave angled facing gable features a late 19th century double board door with a wooden lintel to the left, and above it, there is a plain sash window from the 19th century. The right side of the barn has a large opening that is now boarded up.
Inside, there are two pairs of crucks with collars and saddles, single purlins, and one straight wind brace. A tie beam is present at the cruck nearest the gable. The roof was ceiled in the late 20th century.
