Description

The Packhorse bridge, located 70 metres east of the Rails Road bridge, spans the River Rivelin and dates from around 1775. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a single elliptical arch, a string course, and a plain parapet wall. This bridge is part of the historic packhorse track that runs from Crosspool to Stannington.
