Description

The Barncliff Stoop is a road marker located on the north side of Redmires Road in Hallam Head. This marker is likely from the 14th century and is made of gritstone. It stands approximately six feet tall and has a roughly square shape. The stoop was erected to indicate the route of an ancient packhorse highway.
