Description
This is a boiler house built in 1913, with later alterations from the late 20th century, designed by A.W. Kenyon. The structure is made of coursed squared stone and features a hipped pantile roof. It is a single-storey building with central glazed double doors. To the right of these doors are two louvred doors, and to the left is a similar door along with a small casement window. Further along to the left, there is a 9-pane sash window, and to the right, a panelled double door. At the rear, there is a round stone stack that has tapering buttresses and flat ribs, topped with a rebated cap. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with the King Edward VII Orthopaedic Hospital.
