Description
This is a pair of cottages located 15 meters north-west of Beauchief Abbey, dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and feature stone slate roofs, including two gable stacks and one ridge stack. The cottages have quoins and stone lintels, standing two stories high with a four-window range. The windows are 16-pane sashes, and there is a blocked half-round window between the upper left pair. The front has 20th-century half-glazed doors set in heavy ashlar masonry, flanked by single windows. The interior has not been inspected.
