Description
This is a row of three houses located at 23, 25, and 27 New Road, built in the mid to late 19th century. The houses are constructed from deeply-coursed, squared limestone and feature a Welsh slate roof. They are two storeys high with a symmetrical facade that includes three windows on the first floor. The buildings have a plinth and a central glazed timber porch adorned with bargeboards supported by shaped brackets and topped with a decorative finial.
On either side of the porch, there are two-light casements with glazing bars, which have projecting sills and segmental-arched heads. The outer bays feature three-light casements designed in the same style. On the first floor, there are three two-light casements positioned beneath oversailing eaves. The houses also have two ridge stacks with offset bases, bands, and copings. This row of houses is included for its group value.
