Description
No. 3 Lime Avenue is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of rubble limestone and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and three windows on the first floor. It has raised quoins and a part-glazed panelled door set in an ashlar surround, which is flanked by two-light horizontal-sliding sash windows with glazing bars beneath arched heads. The first floor has similar windows on either side of a central casement. The house also has shaped kneelers and ashlar gable copings, along with brick stacks at the ends. There is a later wing to the rear left, which forms No. 5 Lime Avenue, and a flat-roofed extension in the angle that is not of special interest.
