Description
Roche Abbey Mill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed from coursed, squared magnesian limestone and features stone slate eaves courses beneath a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with a wing extending to the rear left and additional later extensions at the back.
Notable architectural details include large quoins, a central part-glazed door set in a raised ashlar surround topped with a cornice, and a ground-floor sill band. The windows have square-faced surrounds and are fitted with 20th-century iron casements. The eaves are adorned with a cavetto-moulded cornice and there is a central one-bay pediment. The gables feature shaped kneelers, gable copings, and brick stacks at the ends.
