Description
The cartshed and granary attached to Barn House, now used as garages, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from deeply-coursed, squared limestone, with red brick on the west side, and features a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and a five-bay cartshed arcade that faces the road. The cartshed arcade side includes stone quoins and five basket arches supported by rounded brick piers, with stone springers and keystones. There is a central hatch on the first floor with a projecting sill and a plain lintel. The gable ends have shaped kneelers and copings. On the right side, there are external stone steps leading to a renewed boarded door beneath a plain lintel, with a similar doorway to its left. The attached building is not of special interest.
