Description
The base of a market cross, located approximately 1 metre south of the tower of the Church of St. Margaret in Swinton, is a medieval structure that has been resited. It features a sandstone plinth and shaft, along with a magnesian limestone cross base. The base is square with chamfer-stopped corners and has an inset octagonal shaft.
