Description

The remains of a cross, located south-east of the junction of Morthen Hall Lane and York Lane in Whiston, date from the late medieval period. It is constructed from sandstone and features a square-sectioned, tapered base with stop-chamfered corners. The reset shaft is also square-sectioned and tapered, with broach chamfer stops.
