Description

Hampole Manor, now divided into two dwellings, dates from the early 19th century, although it may incorporate an earlier structure. The house has cement-rendered walls and a graduated Westmorland slate roof. It is two storeys high and of four bays. A panelled door is centrally positioned in the third bay, accompanied by an overlight with radial glazing bars within a square-faced surround topped with a cornice. The ground-floor windows are four-pane sashes set within projecting surrounds. First-floor windows are sixteen-pane sashes in similar surrounds; the window in the third bay has a segmentally-arched architrave. The roof is hipped, with rendered end stacks. At the rear, there are stone stacks rising from the roof. Inside, a contemporary staircase features slender, square balusters.
