Description

The Manor House is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with stone slate eaves courses and a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and features three windows on the first floor. It is characterized by large quoins. The central doorway has chamfered quoins and an arched soffit to the lintel, with a 20th-century part-glazed door that has intersecting glazing bars. On either side of the door are six-light mullioned windows with leaded lights set in 20th-century cemented surrounds. Above the door is an older two-light, double-chamfered mullioned window, flanked by four-light windows on the ground floor. The roof has shaped kneelers and gable copings, with rendered end stacks featuring tabling. The roof is of two spans. The rear range includes altered 17th-century double-chamfered windows. Inside, there is a small wall cupboard in the rear room on the left side of the first floor, likely dating from the early 18th century.
