Description
Manor Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble limestone with stone slate eaves courses and a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and features a two-to-one window arrangement on the first floor. Large quoins accentuate the corners. The doorway, located to the left of centre, has a chamfered, quoined surround with a Tudor-arched lintel. On the left side of the door, there is a four-light, double-chamfered, mullioned window with a brick relieving arch, and a similar three-light window is found on the right side. A gabled bay to the right projects forward and includes matching two-light windows on both floors. The main range has two half dormers, each with a two-light mullioned window beneath a miniature gable that features ashlar copings. The main gables are adorned with shaped kneelers and gable copings. To the left, there is a brick end stack with an offset plinth and a cavetto-moulded cornice, and a similar ridge stack is located to the right.
