Description
Poplar House is a house from the late 18th century that has been altered. It features a cement-rendered exterior and a renewed pantile roof. The building is two storeys high with attics, and the central bay projects outward. The entrance has a central panelled door and a fanlight with radial glazing bars, all set within a round-arched recess and an open-pedimented doorcase. The outer bays contain unequally-hung twenty-pane sash windows with projecting sills, and similar windows are found on the first floor. There is a cemented eaves band and later brick stacks at the ends. At the rear, there is a mid-height stair window with a sash like the front, and another similar sash window on the first floor to the right.
