Description

Nos 13 and 15 Regent Street is a town house that has been converted into offices. It was built in the early 19th century using hammer-dressed stone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has three storeys, with an attic and a basement at the rear due to the sloping ground. It occupies a corner site and has a symmetrical facade with three bays by three bays.

The central doorway at No 15 has panelled jambs, a frieze, and a cornice. There is a tripartite window on each side of the doorway, which may have been altered later. The first and second floors have sash windows with raised sills. The name "REGENT STREET" is inscribed at the right corner of the building. Moulded stone brackets support the gutter, and the gable copings are topped with a large ashlar parapet at the verge. Each roof pitch has two stone stacks, with an ashlar stack on the right gable.

At the rear, there are sash windows, some of which have been altered. The right return of the building is symmetrical and features a later central square stone porch with a round-arched doorway at No 13. The sash windows here also have raised sills, and the central first-floor window is adorned with a moulded architrave, frieze, and cornice. There is a single sash window in the pedimented gable. The building is included for its group value.
