Description
Nos 14 and 16 Regent Street are two paired townhouses, now used as offices, built around 1825. They are constructed from dressed stone and feature a Welsh slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and each has three bays, with entrances located to the left and right. The entrances are framed by elegant Doric doorcases that include fluted columns and open pediments with modillions. Each entrance has a semicircular fanlight with radial glazing bars above it. The tall windows, particularly those on the ground floor, have raised sills and consist of sash windows and some casements. To the left, there is a lower addition that includes a carriage entrance and a single sash window above it. The buildings also feature moulded brackets supporting the gutter, a truncated central stack, and a second stack located on the front roof slope to the left.
