Description
Nos 5 and 7 Regent Street are offices built in 1867, designed in a Free Classical style. The building is constructed of ashlar with a Welsh slate roof and consists of three storeys. The terraced facade features two bays for each property. Each entrance is located to the right and includes a fanlight, an elongated keystone (the one on the right is dated), and pilaster jambs. The ground floor has paired sash windows with pilaster jambs and round-cornered, moulded heads. Above, the first-floor round-arched sash windows are set on a sill band and have moulded heads, pilaster jambs, and cornices, paired in the left bay of each property. The second floor features square-headed sash windows, also on a sill band, with pilaster jambs arranged similarly. A moulded eaves cornice completes the design. The building is included for its group value.
