Description
The stable block to Keresforth Hall, dated 1821, is a former stable building with rendered walls and a Welsh slate roof. It features two storeys at the front and one at the rear due to the sloping ground. The structure consists of seven bays, with a slightly later gabled wing on the right. The central three bays project slightly and are topped with a pediment that includes a blind lunette with alternately blocked voussoirs and a dated keystone. The windows are casement style with raised sills, although some ground-floor openings have been altered. There is a band between the floors and a hipped roof adorned with ornamental cresting. A central louvred ventilator with an ornamental weathervane is also present. At the rear, there are two central cart sheds with cambered entrances, flanked by two oculi on each side and a later garage door on the right. The central part is covered by a large iron and glass canopy supported by iron columns.
