Description
This is an animal shelter with a hay loft and attached stables located to the southeast of Number 67, Grange Farmhouse. It was built in the early 19th century and underwent alterations around 1900. The building is constructed from dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features Welsh slate roofs. The gables are ashlar coped with kneelers. The north and east walls are blank, while the west gable wall has a boarded opening to the upper floor and another boarded opening to the gable. The south front includes an off-centre doorway with a plank door, flanked by single windows. To the right, there is a large threshing doorway, which is now obscured by a single-storey range with a corrugated asbestos roof, featuring alternating stable doors and windows. Inside, the building has late 19th-century timber roof trusses. This structure is included for its group value only.
