Description
This field barn, located approximately 120 metres west of the farmhouse at Hall Farm, dates from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of coursed dressed stone with quoins and features a stone slate roof. There are small quoined entrances on both the left and right sides. The central pitching hole at a high level has been destroyed due to a break in the wall. High-level ventilation slits are present, and the gables have chamfered copings on moulded kneelers. There are two pitching holes and a symmetrical arrangement of ventilation slits in each gable. Inside, the barn has principal rafter trusses with queen struts.
