Description
The building is a set of kennels located approximately 25 metres east of Bell Hall. Constructed from pinkish orange brick in Flemish bond, it features a grey slate roof with ashlar coping. Likely built in the 19th century, it may incorporate some 17th-century bricks. The structure is square in shape, surrounding an open courtyard, and consists of five bays on each side, all at a single storey. The south facade is adjacent to a pigeon cote. It includes four round-arched openings with quoined jambs and gauged brick heads, two of which have plank doors. Access to the inner courtyard is through the second opening. Inside the courtyard, there are additional round-arched openings, some of which are blocked, while others have plank doors that lead to the kennels. A ridge stack is present on the north wall, and the building was noted to be somewhat dilapidated at the time of the last survey.
