Description
The Coach House and Stables to Naburn Hall, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, is a two-storey building constructed of pinkish-brown brick with ashlar dressings, which is colour-washed and rendered, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The central section features two bays and has projecting single-storey wings on either side. It includes two elliptical carriage arches with double plank doors and a first-floor band. The building has casement windows beneath flat arches made of gauged brick, along with a central blind opening and ashlar sills. A clock tower rises at the center, complete with a pediment and ramped sides, and is topped with a central domed bell tower. The wings have central recessed round arches that contain casement windows, while the inner facades feature elliptical-arched plank stable doors. Each wing has its own hipped roof, with the right wing topped by a pyramidal ventilator. The interior includes stalls made by Teale and Somers from Leeds.
