Description
This is a pair of houses located at 8 and 10 Little Stonegate, built around 1825. They are constructed from orange-grey brick in Flemish bond, topped with a pantile roof and featuring brick stacks, one of which is truncated. The houses have timber doorcases and guttering.
The exterior consists of three storeys with a three-window front. In the centre, there is a wide passage doorway flanked by convex panelled pilaster jambs, topped with a flat cornice hood, and featuring a heavy six-panel door with an overlight that has glazing bars. To the right, there is a similar but narrower doorcase and door. The ground floor windows include a 16-pane sash for No. 8 and a 12-pane sash for No. 10. On the first floor, all windows are 16-pane sashes, while the second floor features squat 12-pane sashes. All windows have painted stone sills and segmental brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
