Description
The Sea Horse Hotel is a public house dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has five bays, with a straight joint to the right of the third window. The windows are glazing bar sashes topped with black-painted brick lintels.
On the ground floor, the second bay includes a carriageway, which is framed by a wide outer timber lintel supported by pilasters, with canted sides leading to a narrower central carriageway. To the right of this, there is a glazing bar sash window with a 2 over 4 configuration, while the left side features a four-panel door. The two right-hand bays of the main facade contain a pair of glazing bar sash windows, each with a 4 over 4 configuration, and to the left, there is a timber pilaster doorcase that has a bracketed cornice and panelled reveals, with a four-panel door. The building has chimneys located on the left side and in front of the ridge between the third and fourth bays. The interior has not been inspected.
