Description
The Woolpack Public House is a house, likely dating from around 1845, and now used as a public house. It is located in Fawcett Street, York. The front elevation is built of red brick, while the side elevation incorporates mottled brick. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The building is three storeys high and has two bays. On the ground floor, a tripartite sash window is present. The first floor features sash windows, and the second floor has 20th-century tilting windows. A doorway on the right side has a pilaster doorcase with a modillioned cornice, a boarded door, and a rectangular overlight. A timber gutter is supported by rectangular brackets. A chimney is situated near the centre of the roof. The return wall facing Kent Street displays one bay with windows similar to those on the front. To the left is a lower, two-storey rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
