Description
Sparrow Cottage is a house built around 1815, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick and has a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The windows on the outer bays are glazing bar sashes, each featuring brick flat arches above them. The central window on the first floor is a 20th-century casement with glazing bars, and rebuilt brickwork below its sill indicates that the opening has been made smaller. The central doorway is framed by a doorcase with fluted pilasters, a fluted frieze, and shallow brackets, and it has a 20th-century glazed door. There are shared chimneys on both the left and right sides of the house. The interior has not been inspected.
