Description
The Whitehouse is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It features pinkish-brown brick with a white painted stucco facade and ashlar dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The central block projects and consists of three storeys and three bays, flanked by irregular wings; the left wing has two storeys and two bays, while the right wing has two storeys and three bays. The building has a plinth. The central block is accessed by four steps leading to a six-fielded-panel door, which is topped by a radial fanlight with glazing bars. This entrance is sheltered by a projecting Tuscan portico with a segmental hood that has a panelled soffit. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. On the first floor, from the left, there is a 12-pane sash in a flush wood architrave, a false window, and another pane sash between. The outer bays feature tripartite sashes, while the remaining windows are 12-pane sashes. The roof is hipped, with stacks at both ends and along the ridge.
