Description
11 and 12 Tower Street are a pair of houses that have been converted into two restaurants. They were built in the early 19th century and have undergone some alterations since then. The front is finished in stucco and features eaves guttering supported by paired modillions. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, topped by a central brick chimney stack.
The exterior has three storeys and a four-window front. The ground floor has renewed shopfronts, along with a new six-panel door and overlight located at the right end. The windows for No. 11 consist of one-pane sashes on the first floor and two top-hung lights on the second floor. In contrast, No. 12 has twelve-pane sashes on the first floor and squat six-pane sashes on the second floor. The first-floor windows are set above a raised sill band, while the second-floor windows have painted sills. All windows feature channelled wedge lintels with moulded keyblocks that are visible through the stucco. The interiors have not been inspected.
