Description
No. 34 Clarence Street is a shop and flat built in the mid-19th century, with some alterations from the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and features a slate roof.
It stands three storeys high and has two bays. The upper floor windows are glazing bar sashes set beneath brick flat arches. There is a sill band for the first-floor windows. The ground floor showcases a late 19th-century timber shopfront, which includes pilasters, brackets, and a cornice. Above the wide sashed shop window, there is a ventilation grille. To the right, there is a glazed shop door, and to the left, a recessed four-panel house door with an overlight. The building also has gable chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
