Description

Two houses, now a house and shop, dating from the early 19th century, with alterations in the 20th century. The houses are built of brick with a plain tile roof. They are three storeys high plus attics, with two bays each. The windows are glazing bar sashes. The first-floor windows, and the ground-floor window of number 67 on the right, are bowed and have panelled friezes. There are two attic dormers. The ground floor of number 69 has a timber shopfront flanked by pilasters. Number 67 retains its original doorway on the left, featuring reeded pilasters, a fanlight, and a six-panel door. The gutter is supported by paired rectangular brackets. Chimneys are located on the right-hand gable, between the houses, and are shared on the left-hand side. The interior has not been inspected. The houses hold group value within the local streetscape.
