Description
The stables to Stockton Hall, built around 1800, are a stable block constructed of brick in Flemish bond with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of nine bays, with the central bay and paired outer bays slightly projecting forward. The central entrance features an elliptical-arched double door, flanked by six-panel doors and 16-pane sash windows. On the first floor, there are eight-pane sash windows, with alternate windows blocked. Cambered brick arches are present throughout the structure. The roof is hipped, and there is a central bell turret that includes a clock at the base and houses a bell beneath a dome supported by fluted columns, topped with a weathervane.
