Description

Elm Tree Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with 20th-century renovations. It is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern and has a 20th-century pantile roof. The house is arranged with a central-hallway entry and is two rooms deep. The two storeys are arranged over three bays. A 20th-century half-glazed door is set within a 20th-century doorcase and is flanked by 16-pane sash windows. A band runs around the building. The first floor has a sash window with glazing bars, flanked by 16-pane sash windows. The windows all have flat brick arches. There is a dentilled eaves course and gable coping at the ends, with end stacks. Inside, the drawing room features a large elliptical-arched fireplace. The attic retains an old farm winch.
