Description

No. 33 North Street is a house dating from around 1850. It is constructed of buff mottled brick in Flemish bond, set on a stone plinth, and features a timber doorcase and eaves guttering. The roof is covered with pantiles and has brick stacks at each end.

The exterior is three stories high with a two-window front. The doorcase includes fluted pilasters, an enriched frieze, and a flat cornice supported by foliate consoles. The door itself has six raised and fielded panels topped by a radial fanlight. To the left of the door, there is a 16-pane sash window with 20th-century louvred shutters. On the first floor, the windows are 12-pane sashes, while the second floor features unequal 9-pane sashes. All windows have renewed stone sills and painted and rendered flat arches that are grooved to resemble voussoirs. At the right end of the guttering, there is an inverted bell rainwater head with a cast-iron fallpipe. The interior has not been inspected.
