Description
Nos. 2-10 Blossom Street is a row of shops and flats built around 1863. The building is constructed from mottled brick with red brick arches and features a slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has eight bays facing Blossom Street, along with a rounded corner bay. The upper storey windows are sashed and have keystones above their segmental brick arches, along with sill bands. The first-floor sill band is partly obscured by shop fascias. The window in the rounded corner bay has a stucco architrave topped with a cornice on console brackets. The ground floor showcases a continuous timber cornice above the shopfronts. No. 4 features a four-panel door, while No. 8 has a similar door with an overlight and pilaster reveals. The shopfront of No. 10 includes pilasters with sunken panels and extends to the facade on Queen Street, which has two main bays and a two-storey bay on the left, with blind recesses on the upper storeys of the right-hand bay. No. 10 also has a modillion gutter cornice on both its Blossom Street and Queen Street facades. There are chimneys located to the left of the ridge at the hipped left side of the roof, and in front of the ridge to the right of the 2nd, 6th, and 8th bays. The interior has not been inspected.
