Description
The cartshed range at Sandtoft Grange Farm, located approximately 110 metres northeast of Sandtoft Grange Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century, with a later extension added to the east in the 19th century. The structure is built of brown brick and features pantile roofs. It has a rectangular layout with entrances on the north side. The earlier section consists of five bays, with a tack room on the right that has a central door flanked by single windows, all set beneath segmental arches and boarded over at the time of the last survey. The cart-shed section to the left includes rounded brick piers that support a timber wall plate, with a wider pier at the left end. A lower four-bay range is set back to the left and has similar piers. The building has not been fully investigated but is part of an early 19th-century farm complex and is included for its group value.
