Description
This is a threshing barn and adjoining horse-mill located at Sandtoft Grange Farm, approximately 90 metres north-east of Sandtoft Grange Farmhouse. The buildings date from the early 19th century and have undergone some later alterations. They are constructed of brown brick and feature a pantile roof. The barn is aligned north-south, with the horse-mill situated on its east side.
The two-storey barn has a board door on the right, a central hatch, and the outline of a former lower west range to the left. It is adorned with a dentilled brick eaves cornice and has a hipped roof. The north gable end includes an inserted wagon entrance beneath a timber lintel, with a board hatch door positioned above it. The single-storey horse-mill has a canted east end, wide brick piers, and a hipped roof. The site has not been fully investigated but is part of an early 19th-century farm complex and is included for its group value.
