Description
Beck House is a house built in the early to mid-19th century, with 20th-century extensions. It is constructed from limestone rubble, which is colourwashed, and features a slate roof and a brick chimney stack. The extensions are made of brick and have concrete tile roofs. The house is a single storey with an attic and consists of five bays arranged symmetrically.
The central entrance is pointed-arch and features a plank door, flanked by two pointed-arch windows with wooden Y-tracery; the inner windows have hinged lights. There is a plain moulded wooden eaves board, and the roof is half-hipped with a central stack that has a cogged cornice. The attic includes sliding sash windows in the gable ends. The 20th-century extensions on either side do not have any special architectural interest.
