Description

Saxby Manor is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with alterations and additions from the 19th century and further changes around 1980. The building is constructed of brick and has been colourwashed, topped with pantile roofs. It has an L-shaped plan, featuring a three-room front range with an entrance hall to the left of the center, a kitchen wing at the rear right, and extensions to the right and front, which includes an entrance porch.

The house is two storeys high and has four bays. There is a flat-roofed single-storey extension covering bays two to four, which incorporates an enclosed porch at the second bay. This porch has brick pilasters, a stepped brick cornice, and a 20th-century door flanked by narrow sidelights and an overlight. To the left, there is a flush sash window with vertical margin lights, a stucco flat arch, and a stone sill. The extension to the right features two smaller similar windows beneath a stepped eaves band. A short screen wall to the right includes a single-storey pitched-roof extension at the right end.

On the first floor, there are three similar sash windows, while a 20th-century casement window is located at the left end. The eaves cornice is stepped and dentilled, and the gables are brick coped with raking brick bands. The house has end stacks and an axial stack to the left. The interior has not been investigated.
