Description
Weir House is a house from the early to mid-19th century, likely with earlier origins. It is built of squared limestone with brick stacks and a right gable, topped by a pantile roof. The house has two storeys and three symmetrical bays. A central projecting flat-roofed enclosed porch features pilasters that support a plain entablature and cornice. The porch has a former two-leaf panelled door, which is now a single door, along with an overlight that includes margin lights in a panelled reveal. The windows are 16-pane sashes set in flush wood architraves with projecting sills and stucco flat arches. Above the entrance, there is a stuccoed blind first-floor window panel. The gables are stone-coped with shaped kneelers, and there are end stacks.
