Description
Cleatham Hall Barn, located approximately 70 metres north of Cleatham Hall, is a barn that likely dates from the mid 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with some brick dressings and has a lower inner wall made of brick. The barn features a pantile roof and is two storeys high with five bays. The north front includes a waggon entrance with a pair of plank doors set within an elliptical-arched brick surround, complete with ashlar imposts and a keystone. There are also blocked ventilation slits on both the ground and first floors, along with a rectangular first-floor pitching hatch that has a pair of plank doors. The eaves are stepped in brick, and the roof is hipped. The right gable end has tall double plank doors. This barn was designed to match the earlier coach-house and stable block located to the south and is included for its group value.
