Description
Twizel Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, which is incorrectly marked as Low Farm on the Ordnance Survey map. The building features squared limestone with brick dressings and stacks, topped with a pantile roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, presenting a symmetrical façade. To the right, there is a contemporary low two-storey, two-bay extension. The main entrance consists of a part-glazed panelled door with a 20th-century carved stone plaque above, flanked by casement windows with glazing bars set under flattened segmental arches made of contrasting red and blue bricks. The extension has a similar door and window arrangement. The first floor also features similar windows, with a small casement window in the extension. The farmhouse has stepped brick eaves and brick-dropped and tumbled gables, with stacks at each end.
