Description

Elm Tree House is a mid-19th century building located on the north side of High Street. It is two storeys tall and constructed of brick, topped with a hipped Welsh slate roof. The façade features three windows without glazing bars, each with rusticated lintels and a carved keystone, set in flush wood cases. The ground floor has two similar windows and a porch supported by carved piers, which is adorned with a dentil and moulded cornice, as well as an iron frieze. The round-headed doorway has a six-panel door and is accessed by three steps. Elm Tree House is part of a group with No 4, contributing to the architectural character of the area.
