Description
Belmont Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century, possibly with earlier origins, and underwent alterations in 1986. It is constructed of yellow brick, with red brick at the rear and a later addition to the right. The roof is covered with pantiles. The building features a two-room central-entrance plan, with a contemporary outshut to the rear right and a later addition on the right side. It is a single storey with an attic and has two windows. The entrance includes a 20th-century glazed door set beneath a segmental arch, flanked by 20th-century casement windows beneath soldier arches. The eaves are stepped, and there is tumbled-in brickwork at the raised gables. The cottage has end stacks and an attic window featuring a 12-pane sliding sash on the left return. This listing is included for its group value only.
