Description
The garden shelter at Lee's Rest House, built between 1912 and 1915 by H.T. Hare for the trustees of Dr. C.A. Lee's will, is a notable structure located on Anlaby Road in Kingston upon Hull. This shelter is constructed from wood, brick, and ashlar, featuring a conical plain tile roof. The roof is octagonal and supported by round wooden posts, with four small gablets and a round dovecote on top, which has its own conical roof. Inside, there are seats arranged in the center, separated by radial brick walls, and the octagonal stone base includes storage boxes for games equipment. This shelter serves as an ancillary building to Lee's Rest Houses.
