Description

These are four houses located on Bishop Lane, dating from circa 1750 and restored in the late 20th century. The houses are built of brick with ashlar dressings and have pantile roofs, featuring wooden gutter brackets. They rise three storeys and have a sixteen-window range. All windows have projecting sills. The ground and first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes, some of which have been replaced, each with a brick flat arch and a triple keystone. The second-floor windows are 20th-century tilting casements with glazing bars. Number 11 has 6-pane sashes. Number 10A, to the left, has a recessed six-panel door with an overlight. To the right of this door is a wooden doorcase with an eared architrave and pediment, housing a six-panel door and a glazing bar overlight, flanked by single windows. The other houses have similar off-centre doorcases, flanked by a single window to the left and two windows to the right.
